What happens in the orientation session?
During the orientation session we listen carefully to your situation, explain the relevant legal framework in plain language, and discuss the realistic options available to you. At the end you receive a short written summary — including any suggested next steps — so you leave with something concrete rather than just a conversation.
How long does a family case typically take in Thailand?
Timelines vary considerably depending on whether the matter is contested and which court handles it. An uncontested matter with agreed documentation may be resolved in a few months. More complex proceedings can take considerably longer. We explain realistic timelines honestly at the outset and keep you updated as the matter progresses.
Are consultations available in English?
Yes. Sabai Counsel works in English throughout — written summaries, agreements, and ongoing communication are all conducted in English. If documents require Thai language versions for court submissions, we handle that as part of the process.
Can sessions be held online rather than in person?
Yes. We offer both in-person appointments at our Bangkok office and online sessions via video call. Many clients find online sessions more convenient, particularly for initial consultations or follow-up discussions. We will confirm the format when booking.
How is my information kept private?
Everything shared with us is treated as strictly confidential. We do not share client information with any third party without your consent, except where required for the conduct of your matter. Our data handling practices are described in detail in our Privacy Policy.
What does the total cost include?
Our published prices cover professional service fees for each stage. Where court filing fees, translation costs, or other disbursements are required, we explain these separately and in advance so there are no unexpected charges. We discuss the full cost picture clearly before any work begins.
