Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 15 May 2025 · Effective Date: 15 May 2025
Please read these terms carefully before using our website or engaging our services. They set out the basis of our working relationship and help ensure everything is clear from the outset. If you have questions about anything here, we are happy to discuss them before you proceed.
1. About Us
Sabai Counsel is a legal services practice registered and operating in Thailand. Our principal office is at 73 Wireless Road, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330. We provide family law advice and representation to individuals and families.
References to "we", "us", or "our" in these terms mean Sabai Counsel. References to "you" or "your" mean the person accessing this website or engaging our services.
2. Use of This Website
By accessing and using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
This website is intended to provide general information about Sabai Counsel and the services we offer. It does not constitute legal advice. The content is provided in good faith but should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal guidance specific to your circumstances.
You agree not to:
- Use this website in any way that violates applicable Thai or international law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its underlying systems
- Transmit any material that is harmful, offensive, or otherwise objectionable
- Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without our written consent
3. Our Services and the Client Relationship
A formal client relationship with Sabai Counsel is established only when both parties have signed an engagement letter or service agreement setting out the scope of work, fees, and terms applicable to your specific matter.
Until a formal engagement is confirmed in writing, no communication through this website, by email, or by telephone constitutes the formation of a lawyer-client relationship, and no professional duty of care is created.
We offer three core service packages, described in detail on our website. The scope, deliverables, and price for each are as stated at the time of engagement. Any variation to agreed scope will be discussed with you and confirmed in writing before additional work proceeds.
4. Fees and Payment
Fees for our services are as stated on our website or in your engagement letter. All fees are quoted in Thai Baht (THB) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Payment terms will be specified in your engagement letter. In general:
- An initial payment or deposit may be required before work commences
- Invoices are payable within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed
- Late payment may affect the progress or continuation of your matter
We will always be transparent about fees before they are incurred. If the scope of your matter changes in a way that affects cost, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.
5. Confidentiality
We take confidentiality seriously. Information you share with us in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law, with your consent, or where necessary to provide the services you have requested (for example, to instructed barristers or relevant courts).
Information shared via our website contact form or by email before a formal engagement is established is also treated with discretion, but does not carry the same formal privilege as communications made within an established client relationship.
6. Limitations of Liability
We provide services with reasonable care and skill. However, the practice of law involves outcomes that cannot be predicted with certainty, and we cannot and do not make any commitments regarding the outcome of any legal matter.
To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, we exclude liability for:
- Losses arising from reliance on general information published on this website
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of our services, except where caused by our negligence or breach of duty
- Losses arising from events outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Thai law.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, design, graphics, and structure — is the property of Sabai Counsel or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property law.
You may view and print content from this site for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, or use of our content requires our prior written permission.
Documents and materials we prepare specifically for you in the course of an engagement remain our intellectual property until fees are settled in full, at which point the agreed deliverables are made available for your use.
8. Third-Party Links
This website may contain links to external websites for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. A link does not imply our endorsement of the linked site or its content.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or your use of this website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will note the updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of this website after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
